Born in 1989, Jessica Boubetra lives and works in Paris. She graduated from the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris and the École Nationale d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais. She studied ceramics at Geidai, the University of the Arts in Tokyo. From 2014 to 2016, she participated in research on 3D printing of ceramic materials for large-scale construction. In 2020, she co-founded Atelier Lumierrante, specializing in 3D-printed ceramics. By using algorithmically generated shapes, she developed a precise and original approach to this material. Her sculptural practice, as well as her interest in colors and textures, led her to deepen her knowledge of high-temperature glazes. Born in Nîmes in 1984, Jean-Baptiste Lenglet lives and works in Paris. After earning a master’s degree in Cinematographic Art at the Université d'Avignon, he studied architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette. As a student, he discovered ceramics, where he found a true passion for this material, which led him to co-found Atelier Lumierrante with Jessica Boubetra. He is particularly interested in the history of ceramics and enamel and has recently focused on volcanic rock enamels, a technique that originated in ancient times.
