Today, he primarily works with stone and wood, sourcing his materials from the offcuts of his family estate—a tangible heritage that feeds his artisanal and poetic approach to sculpture. For over three years, Théophile de Bascher has dedicated himself to exploring natural materials, particularly the way stone interacts with time and the environment. He places special emphasis on the handmade nature of his objects, highlighting the precision of the gesture and the sensitive transformation of the material as it evolves through his work.
